Windows/VMware Sr Systems Administrator

Environment:

Member of an elite IBM team (onshore/offshore model) supporting store environment of retail giant. Environment consists of 20k of VMware 2 & 3 nodes clusters, managed from 21 vCenter’s running 60K

Windows and Linux VMs across 10K Store’s globally.

Responsibilities:

·Owning MIs and driving them to resolution.

·Experience with Virtualization technologies like Installing, Configuring and Administrating VMware ESX/ESXi.

·Applying host profile, configuring port groups for public, backup and other networks, and VMK adapters like vSAN and vMotion.

·Fixing network partition, virtual objects and other vSAN issues.

·Validating host status, drive status, cluster status from vCenters using powershell and powercli scripts.

·Monitor ticketing system for new tickets and work-items. Update existing tickets and resolving issues. Maintain hardware inventory control in ticketing system.

Projects:

Watson (AI):

Created documentation methodologies for JSON Formatter to create a SelfAssit chatbot for L1 team. Also worked With Blue-Prism (RPA), created agent schedule and responsibility relation charts across both time zones between 3 shifts and integrated to Blue_Prism input modules.

Between both of these implementations we have achieved reducing MTTR for INC by 25%.
