Technical lead in NetApp System Test organization developing test strategy for software defined and cloud storage products with strong customer focus.

Led engagement of System Test for qualification of Ontap on various platforms like VMware, Cloud and Kubernetes. This involved identifying product bugs and fixing them to ensure products are delivered with high quality.

Worked on several new product initiatives of deploying Ontap on Kubernetes platform with product management from inception of idea to delivering proof of concept which were later productized and delivered to customers.

Analyze customer cases and escalate key product issues to senior management and engineering teams to close product gaps. This involved analyzing data from field teams and preparing readouts to be shared across engineering teams which includes analyzing customer configuration, workloads and issues seen on field.

Member of successful initiative to accelerate transition of global 100 customers from legacy 7 Mode to Cluster Mode by helping to understand customer environments and suggest a transition plan. This greatly reduced issues during transition and allowed customers to run their workloads post transition avoiding downtime.

Initiated and led development of multiple internal hackathons to develop new tools for engineering teams. One of them was development of live cluster monitoring tool which was later productized and deployed by all test teams in NetApp.

Key member of group of cross functional lead engineers working on companywide initiative to adopt Python for automation and testing tools development which helped in achieving 100% automation for Cloud testing.

Implemented Agile Testing methodology and facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning and sprint retrospectives meeting. This enabled System test to quickly adapt to 6 month release cadence model.

Experience working with Atlassian tools like JIRA,Confluence .Developed user stories as part of sprint planning and track issues of each team member in JIRA as part of sprints..

Quality and Implementation Engineer

Worked as quality and implementation engineer for EMC storage virtualization division which involved testing, implementation and support of various releases of EMC virtualization product VPLEX following the agile development model.

Team member of the asynchronous qualification program of VPLEX Product Management division, Worked on projects for customers like AOL, Credit Suisse and Novell which involved providing solutions to the customer on managing data centers and deploying VPLEX which increased the sales of VPLEX and provided revenue to EMC.

Designed and setup data centers for testing similar to customer environments which involved installing OS, configuring network switches, multipathing configuration, clusters and back end array configuration.

Developed test cases for interop features which involved installing and configuring wide variety of OS(Red Hat Linux, Solaris, ESX, Novell OES,CENTOS) and OS clusters (MSCS and VMWare).

Trained and mentored partners on storage area networking, back-end and OS configuration.

Served as scrum master in agile software development projects which involved conducting daily stand up meetings and retrospective meetings post project completion.

Studied IT best practices in Higher Educational Institutions by interviewing IT stakeholders at various institutes around Pittsburgh. This was done as part of Final Semester project in graduate school.

Developed an IT outsourcing and insourcing strategy for a premier educational institution in Pittsburgh,PA which reduced IT operating expenses and modernized the IT infrastructure .
