INDICATOR WITH ALARM MECHANISM

Overload Indicator works on the principle of

electronic weighing machine. The mechanism consists of a load cell and the bending of Ni-Cu strip in load cell can decreases the current passing. So, the

resulting weight is measured. If the applied load

exceeds the desired load, the alarm with the LED is triggered.

Travancore Cochin Chemicals is using five

compressors for their compressed air requirements and the existing system is not optimized. It is less efficient and more power consuming and Large maintenance

cost and operating costs are incurred on it. This study involves replacement of existing system with a new system and adding piston cylinders for boosting up the pressure in certain areas, which is considered as more efficient and incurring comparatively less in operation and maintenance cost.
