Work Experience

· 2020: Summer Internship at HEB Digital. I worked as a front end developer on a team of front end, back end and designers. My Intern project was to create a calendar in React that would get information from the Contentful API so the marketing team could see what needed to be updated on the website. This project used tools such as React, GraphQL, Contentful and Apollo.

· 2019: Summer internship at Favor Delivery. I work on the front end development team, mainly working on the website. On this team I fixed bugs and would add new designs and features to the website as necessary. On this team I got to work extensively with tools such as React and Redux as well as a large database hosted by AWS. I was also responsible for a project that created an internal tool to simulate deliveries for developer testing.

· 2017: Summer internship at Pape-Dawson Engineers working on a land development team. Worked on AutoCAD drawings with the team and submitted them to the clients and the city for approval. I started my own drawings at the end of the internship for a multiple block residential area.

· 2014-2016: Three summers working for Development Strategies, a construction firm, under the lead contractor. Job included lots of manual labor and delivering project assets to clients and job sites.

Project Experience

· Spent three years in the Aerospace Sciences Program at Alamo Heights High School. Part of a team that designed and fabricated a 16-foot ballistic rocket that reached 10,000 feet when launched at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. Also fabricated a rocket measuring 6 feet that reached transonic speeds and was located with its recovery system intact.

· Co-Founder of the Rocketry Booster Club, which raised funds for theAerospace Sciences Program.

· Designed and built a large patio around a basketball Sport Court for an abused children’s home for my Eagle Scout project.

· Worked on a land development project at CU where I was the project leader. The project included several AutoCAD designs and a model. The final project was shown at CU’s ITL design expo.

· Worked on many sewer and water land development projects around the San Antonio area while working for Pape-Dawson Engineers.

· In my Software Development class at CU my team and I created a website where restaurants could book tables, keep track of reservations, make employee accounts with different access, keep track of a table’s bill and had a database hosted on AWS.

· Worked on the front end engineering team at Favor Delivery. My intern project was to make an internal tool for simulating favors for developer and quality assurance testing. During this project I worked with tools such as React, Redux and AWS.

· While working at HEB Digital I was responsible for making a calendar in React that is implemented into one of HEB’s internal websites. The Calendar gets all of its data from Contentful’s API and formats itself based on that information. Leadership Experience
