Organization: IDT, ONGC Dehradun Duration: December 2019 to January 2020 Project Title: To explore indigenous environment friendly defoamer for oil well cementing Mentor: Dr. Kishori Lal, General manager chemistry, cementing(R&D) technology group Description: The aim of the project to learn the cement slurry designing for cementation of production casing in high temperature and pressure. The challenging task is controlling parameters like thickening time, and fluid flow loss. Result of our R&D work under taken at IDT to provide Indigenous deformer for the well. In this study, this has been done possible through an innovative approach by adding various additives to reduce foam in the cement slurry.
