Job Background/Purpose: The Ministry of Local Government in its vision to bring governance to door step of people in Ghana engages in decentralization. The Ministry works with local communities, NGO’s and governmental agencies in all the Sixteen (16) Regions in Ghana to enhance development at all levels and also to extremely reduce poverty achieve Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The Ministry provides structures, frameworks and policies for operations, training and development for effective implementation of the policies to achieve the objectives. Facilitating acquisition of goods, works, services and utilities in cost effective manner to support operations and satisfying citizen is one of the responsibilities of Procurement Office. Preparing procurement plans for the District and also to advice on best procurement practices.
