Research Experience
Research Member UC, Irvine Department of Computational Biology
August 2019 – June 2021
Used Amber MD software to run membrane protein simulations.
Utilized Amber MCPB to model ligand charge distribution to simulate P2Y12R protein interaction more accurately with charged ligands that contain metal ions.
Used Gaussian 09 software to calculate charge distribution of ligands via quantum mechanical calculations while manipulating structural details.
Presenting data and research papers to a research group of 10-15 members.
Received two grants from SURP/UROP for $1500 and $1000.
Projects
Design failure investigation of a Stainless-steel strainer at a gas turbine power generation facility using SEM electron microscopy and failure analysis.
Used forward difference method in MATLAB to discretize differential equations.
Conducted 8 different Laboratory experiments with 40+ page lab reports.
Senior Project: Steam methane reforming, hydrogen production. Creating PFD sketch using Bluebeam, simulating the hydrogen plant using AVEVA PRO/II, choosing materials for each vessel, FMEA and MSD of the process.
