Project Description:

Testing a leading product in Consumer Electronics field which has more advanced features to interface with Digital Devices using HDMI, DVI, Analog interface and Network (wired and wireless configuration).

This DTV is built for supporting all the standards used across the globe. It has a PAP and PIP option through which two inputs can be viewed at the same time. Mainly it supports 3D technology & Interactive applications. It also has HDMI SYNC function, through which all the HDMI devices connected can be controlled easily. It also has many important internet features like IPTV, DLNA, Skype, Internet browser, Music and Video Explorer, Mirroring, DLNA, Yahoo widgets and many other internet widgets. It has latest Wi-Fi features like Screen mirroring & NFC also. Since TV is loaded with lots of features, test sheet creation is challenging.

According to customers requirement on DTV, all types of testing performed on below categories:

a) Software - Pre Check

b) Testing after Software is released with added features.

c) Special/Additional Evaluations for software PKGs released for Main Branch/Release Branch.

d) PKG Evaluation (Updates after Product released to market).

Roles and Responsibilities:

Understanding the scope and functionality of legacy features of the Product.

Study the Software Requirements Specification and UI Specification

Designing Test cases based on the specifications.

Involved in test case execution and defect reporting & verification.

Involved in Regression Testing.

Involved in Operator Logo Certification testing for European model product (CRT team).

Involved in defect analysis activities to reduce the investigation time of testers & improve the execution efficiency.

Involved in verification audit activities.

On time delivery of reports to Manager.
