Determined if each occupied or connected port is use for data or voice by its labeling formatted scheme.

Enter each Communication Equipment Room-(C.E.R.) on each floor within the Department of State and physically verify each NIC and Fiber Optic cable are connected to a port from the Patch Panel to a port on a Cisco switch by its port number.

Once the port verification is completed by room in each department and then map by each Communication Equipment Room, then gather the data and input it on a Excel spreadsheet for the purpose of recorded data.

Use Remedy to track escalating tickets then analyze, troubleshoot and resolve the incidents to customers using written statements explaining the task that took place.
