QUALITY MANAGER/ASSURANCE
Duties:
Daily inspection of site.
Supply Supervisors with relevant inspection sheets for their operation. Attend daily meeting with engineers and supervisor for change in program for the day. Check that supervisors request inspections and testing as per the greed lead times to be able to plan with RE and Lab.
Check on results from lab and inspection sheets from supervisors. Check results for compliance to specification and follow up with lab or supervisors if not to specification and issue non- conformance where needed. Check inspection request book for rejections of testing or inspection and check work for resubmission.
Arrange for control samples to go to an external lab for comparison purposes. Have result and inspections signed and approved by client. File all result and signed inspection sheet in relevant file. Give feedback to Site Agent of results and approved inspection for the day. Join Lab/RE for inspections and testing where practically possible. Updated spread sheet with testing information and results. Take daily temperatures and rain fall figures.
Obtain inspection sheets from sub-contractors which use their own QA documentation. Follow up any Non conformances issued and closed out as completed. WEEKLY:
Attend site plan meetings to know planned activities for the week. Check inspection sheet and results for outstanding results and check lists. Arrange for in-house training of personnel on work that they are doing to sharpen the skills level. MONTHLY:
Follow up on status checks of Test and Inspection Equipment that need to be done on the specified month intervals.Follow up on 28 days testing results and durability testing of concrete. Complete monthly report of Non-conformance issued and any Quality issues that have been raised in the month.
