Resume:

To the Hiring Committee,

Hi, my name is Ashley Stephens. I have been teaching middle school Math for the past 15 years. Although I love teaching and shaping the lives of my students, the field of education is quite different than what it once was and I have decided that I am ready for a change. I believe that I have developed many skills and characteristics that would help me to be successful in other professions, such as working at the Glazer Museum. For example, I’m organized, I’m an excellent planner, I’m great at multitasking, I’m very flexible, and I’m a quick learner. I have excellent communication and computer skills and I’m used to working on a team. I love math, reading, history, and traveling. I am an avid traveler and have lived and taught abroad for over 3 years. This has given me a broader perspective and the opportunity to work with a wide range of people from different cultures. Although I am new to anything other than teaching, I believe that my education, my passion, and my love for learning new things would make me a competitive candidate for a position at your organization.

For your convenience, I have attached my resume/CV for your review. In addition, I can also provide scanned copies of my degrees and my Florida Educator Certificate, as well as anything else you may require. I am currently living in Sanford, Florida and plan to move to the Tampa area during the summer. I would welcome the opportunity to participate in an interview virtually or in person to answer any of your questions or to better present my qualifications. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you soon! Sincerely,

Ashley Stephens
