Direct and coordinate all freight operations, material receiving, small parcel shipments, and operational flow of product throughout the facility as well as implement and enforce company policies, standards, and practices. Manage, supervise, train and schedule distribution employees in the freight operations and inventory control departments. Monitor daily inventory requirements and budget, monitor, and adjust manning to maintain budget and achieve maximum utilization.

Confer with managers of other departments to coordinate the flow of materials or products consistent with production needs and quality expectations. Maintain proactive communication with Press and Bindery Departments to ensure production occurs as scheduled. Adjust as necessary to meet schedule.

Monitor stock request system to meet production requirements. Order receive and inventory items.

Inspect the warehouse daily to verify all divisional objectives are being met including load movement, housekeeping, and safety requirements.

Monitor employee attendance and pay raises and schedule vacations. Evaluate employee work performance on an on-going basis.
