Profile

Civil Engineering projects: Predominantly Ground Investigation (A38 Derby junction Upgrade, Lower Thames Crossing Package C3, CP6 Network Rail Framework, A27 Arundel bypass) Extensive experience: Ground Investigation, Supervision of site, Plant and Sub-contractors. Setting out using GPS.

I am a keen and dedicated individual with a good organisational skillset gained from past two years working in the construction industry. Pressure is something in which I thrive, and I can sensibly prioritize work ensuring all appropriate information is in place before ‘boots hit the ground’. My focus is on the quality of the work produced, but also keeping an awareness of commercial requirements relevant to the contract (predominantly having been NEC3 contracts). I use my experience to mentor other junior engineers to develop their skills and encourage a positive working relationship with subcontractors. I’ve taken a key interest to learn AutoCAD Civil3D as it is my personal choice of software, to understand how to demonstrate volume calculations, cross sections and surface models and general design checks.

I am currently seeking to cross the bridge from being an assistant engineer to becoming a junior engineer in Remediation/ Earthwork sector to set myself new challenges. I be very much interested to get my head around working with Earthworks, Drainage, Paving, FRC works and Sheet Piling.
