Software Developer [Contractor for Discover Financial Services] Project Name: Enterprise Rewards(ER)- Jun-2018 - Till now 1. Alpha:

Description:

A.Develop Notification DMS mail sent to Card members: To develop a notification via e-mail to the card member if his redemption has failed so that the card member can take appropriate action.

We have implemented the process in following manner:

• Captured transaction details of the card member for which the redemption was rejected along with the reject reason.

• Performed various checks on it, pulled required fields from tables and created files in a layout which will be sent through e-mail.

• Transferred the Card member details like name,account number,request amount

,reason of failure etc to downstream applications. B.Automate catch up process:

Catch up process is designed to give rewards to discover card members who are eligible for 5% rewards on swiping card to merchants which are enrolled under given offer. We have implemented following features to automate this process:

• Created a process to check the offer under which the customer and the merchant is enrolled.

• Pull all the transaction level details of the card member and perform checks to verify if the customer and the merchant is eligible for the reward or not .

• Created process to perform all the standard checks and after the business approval the payouts for card members are released.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Coding of the process.

• Involved in unit and Regression testing of the developed process and validating the same. 2. Homerun:

Description:

• Homerun project is for converting Mainframe codes into Ab initio graphs as per the ER standard architecture. We implemented features like giving redemption to card members

,generating financial reports to track the system. Roles and Responsibilities:

• Designed multiple table loading graphs with insert and upsert modes.

• Defect analysis and defect fixing raised in Application Life Cycle Management (ALM).

• Involved in Unit and Regression testing of developed system for performance tuning and bug fixing.

Project Name: HR and Payroll ETL Apr-2017- Jun-2018 Description:

Create various dashboards on the basis of HR data when a complaint is lodged against an employee. This involved creation of ab initio graphs to load data into Teradata. We need to manipulate data as per requirement using SQL and built various reports for data analysis. Roles and Responsibilities:

• Worked on tableau reporting.

• Worked on developing 3 dashboards of this project(Complaints,Corrective Actions and Terminations dashboards).

• The Complaints dashboard involved complaints lodged against an employee, the severity of a complaint lodged etc. Corrective Actions dashboard included the corrective actions taken against a particular complaint. Terminations dashboard included the number of employees terminated from the organization on yearly, quarterly and monthly basis. ACHIEVEMENTS
