· Restrain cats and dogs for various treatments and procedures.

· Perform anal gland expressions and nail trims.

· Collect laboratory samples, such as blood and urine. Create lab requests in Cornerstone.

· Perform ear cleanings and apply ear medication.

· Escort clients to exam rooms, obtain brief medical history, get patient weight and temperature.

· Draw up vaccinations, administer vaccinations. Administer medication PO, SQ, IV.

· Enter treatments, notes, and prompts into the patient medical record.

· Position patients for radiographs. Retrieve radiographs from CR digital x-ray system.

· Take care of all boarding animals during weekend treatments. Keyholder to the practice.

· Set up for surgery, as well as clean up after surgery. Clean anesthetic monitoring equipment.

· Cleansing, lubricating, wrapping, and sterilizing of surgical instruments and surgical packs.

· Maintain hospital cleanliness, maintain hospital equipment.

· Log equipment maintenance in logbook. Perform weekly laboratory backup procedures.
