- I am teaching Spanish 1 & Spanish 2, designing and implementing a unique curriculum that is data-driven (I’m at Master Teacher status as of the 2018-19 school year - see specific data below). Current Leadership Roles:

-As a DEI liaison, I lead school-wide required trainings on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and collaborated with the district for network-wide DEI initiatives. I also lead weekly discussions on DEI & send out a weekly newsletter. I have done this work unofficially for many years, but advocated for this role and got it this year.

-I am the Spanish Chair at my school overseeing all Spanish classes, observing and giving feedback to teachers, creating relevant PD, running department meetings, and managing the budget (for the past 5 years).

- I am the Spanish content lead for all of the DSST network (for the past 4 years). I have managed between 10-20 other Spanish teachers across the network. I help new teachers get accustomed to the DSST style. I share all my lessons and assessments with all Sp1-2 teachers at 7 different schools in the network to use. I also run shared norming/grading to ensure all network exams are graded the same way I observe and give feedback to teachers at other campuses.

- I have been an advisor for 9 years, mentoring a group of students, communicating with their families, supporting with grades, building community, and facilitating conferences. Past Roles at DSST:

- I was the SVL Coach for students participating in the Student Board of Education. We worked with the district and local government to make social justice changes in our school (the funding was cut, so this position no longer exists).

- I was an advisor mentor, observing advisors and helping them manage their advisories and build community

- I have taught summer school twice: math for incoming freshman and reading for retained 8th graders

- I was the sole summer school administrator in 2019

- I taught self-created crochet elective class for two years & Latin dance elective class (with performance) Middle School Spanish Teacher, Cesar Chavez Academy, Denver, CO January 2013-June 2015
