I grew up on a farm and my dad taught me a lot about farming especially about cattle and sheep.

Skills:

I worked during school holidays at Curly Wee Boerdery alongside with Hendrik Fourie where we did AI and the collection of semen and analyzing the semen at the Lab.

I was responsible for counting the herd as well as the new born piglets and helped with the everyday to day work that needed to be done around the piggery.

I helped with overall maintenance and the feeding of the animals.

I have advanced computer skills as well as knowledge in computer programs.

I have electrical knowledge due to the course that I have studied.

I have experience in marking. I have been marketing my own animals for the past 8 years.

2013- Current: Self employed as farmer. I am farming with cattle and had sheep for 16 years.

Duties:

I was a field technician and duties included installing PC’s, repairing and maintaining servers, desktop PC’s hardware, networks and software as well as installing, setting up and reconfigure speed point devices.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for stock and equipment that was worth hundreds of thousands of rands. I was responsible for all my documentation and to keep my warehouse stock up to date.
