Network Design Engineer

Responsible for designing and maintaining AMR (Automated Meter Reading) networks to support customer requirements, create maps of deployment installations of hundreds to multi-million endpoint projects.

Orchestrated the design, deployment, and maintenance of AMR (Automated Meter Reading) networks for small to multi-million large-scale endpoint installations.

Directed the implementation, integration, training, and ongoing support for domestic and international AMI deployments. Created and implemented critical network assessment and optimization processes.

Duties included assisting DOT with projects and perform Quality Assurance.

Electronically marked proposed and existing gas main locations for Department of Transportation projects, and updated GIS with new Construction Zone boundaries and location information.

Performed Quality Assurance review of work completed by other technicians.

Responsibilities included providing site maps, using AutoCAD for data transfer and auditing GIS system.

Created and maintained site maps, schematics, piping plans, railroad crossings and utility relocation plans in AutoCAD.

Ensured accurate data transfer from AutoCAD, and manual records, into, proprietary GIS system. Trained department employees on GIS system.

Audited GIS system’s new functionality on an ongoing basis and reported findings to the Mapping Services Department.
