- Overseeing the actions and safety of three other crew members

- Checking the condition and maintaining the mechanical equipment on deck (power block/deck winch/boom

winches/blocks/rigging/electrical etc.)

- Delegating the work as needed among the rest of the crew

- Used to working long hours with less than ideal

situations/weather

- Cooking three meals a day for six crew members
