Bachelor’s Degree Final Year Project:

• Project involved study on STADD Pro.V8i software for Design & Analysis of Transmission Towers using different Bracing Systems. Study also aimed at comparing different bracing system on the basis of overall weight of the structure; overall steel requirement; maximum shear force, bending moment & deflection, etc.

• The proposed structure was 4 legged Steel Lattice Tower with self-supporting 220kV double circuit hexagonal shaped. The different bracing systems compared in the study were ‘KX’, ‘K’ & ‘KD’. The site proposed for the structure was Mumbai region for greater effect of wind load. The loading combinations were as per Indian Standard Code i.e. IS: 875-2000. Extra Curricular:
