Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Check each of the crane for safety and clear the area to ensure safety and fully operable.
• Operates multi-purpose overhead crane for metal.bath tapping and correct reading or individual pot date recording.
• Operate and check accuracy of anode setting for anode set using multi-purpose overhead crane.
• Measure the voltage drop across bus bars of a pot and to identify pot with higher drops.
• Calculate the average and standard deviation and provide date to process/engineer for further analysis.
• Determines the pot metal reserves in sample pots by using copper dilution test for financial evaluation.
• Estimate the liquid metal reserves in the operating pots to optimize the operating parameters and overall thermal balance of the pot.
• Assess and checked the quality of the job during the settings of the new anodes on the previous day maintained.
• Check current loading on individual anodes in a pot and estimate some abnormal current distribution.
• Calculate overall heat balance of the pot and review the operating parameters for optimizing the pot performance.
• Develop a safety culture to sustain a memo lost time accident in the plant and enhance environmental management.
