Objective

Looking for a career in professional health and safety advisor and ergonomist. Obtained the Associate Ergonomist designation by the Certified Canadian Professional Ergonomist, Jan., 12, 2021 (CCPE). Graduate of the Advanced Ergonomics Studies program, Fanshawe College, 2020.

Clinical Experience

Advanced Ergonomics Studies, Field Placement: London Health Sciences Center, Student Intern Ergonomist, London, ON, 2020 (300+ hours): Completed office ergonomics assessments. Assisted in Return to Work.

Proposal Abstract: Co-authored a paper submitted to International Ergonomics Association (IEA). Completed data analysis of hospital data/statistics, utilized HCI analysis tools and methods (i.e. NASA TLX and Heuristics Analysis), conducted UX/UI research of x-ray. Prepared video presentation of abstract.

Office and Laboratory Ergonomics: Completed on-site office assessment according to CSAZ412-19 – Office Ergonomic Guidelines. Assisted in promoting lab safety program by conducting ergonomic assessment of laboratory workstation, tools and equipment.

Training: Assisted in equipment training demonstrations for the Hospital’s Safe Patient Handling Training Program. Assisted in workplace violence training demonstrations for the Hospital’s Workplace Violence Training Program. Conducted product testing of various ergonomic products to clients.

Due Diligence: Attended Workplace Violence Assessments. Communicated and participated with Hospital Ergonomist, nurses, area management and Safety Analysts during development of new hospital unit space to ensure staff and patient safety. Presentations: Delivered presentation via teleconference and WebEx on relevant ergonomics topics (i.e. gaps in hospital staff engagement with patient handling, etc.)

Conducted task analysis using Arm Force Field, Lifting Failure Fatigue Tool, U of M 3DSSPP. Presented findings and recommendations to management via WebEx.

Agriculture - Gray Ridge Egg Farms (10 hours), Strathroy, ON, 2020 (10 hours): Utilized Humantech to performed risk factor analysis of egg carton packer and pallet packer job tasks on-site. Presented findings, direct causes, and cost benefit analysis to management via WebEx.

Special Needs Activity Program, Brock University, Volunteer personal trainer, 2016 (50 hours):

Organized individualized training of fundamental physical activities including aquatics, gross and fine motor skills to individuals age 20 and below with visible and invisible disabilities.

Delivered sports injury first aid to Brock Swimming team. Collaborated with professional athletic therapists, massage therapists, coaches.
