I am working in Neuro OT in the Medanta the medicity, Staff Nurse.

EXCELLENT KNOWLEDGE OF BASIC NURSING FUNCTION AND SKILL TRAINDED TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES FUNCTIUONS :

Assessing the client

Checking vital signs & collecting present complaints

Allay the anxiety of the client by proper explanations

Making the client comfortable for e.g. Asthmatic client – keeping bed propped up position, Giving Nebulization, administering 02 inhalation, monitoring sao2

Carrying out orders promptly

Assessing Blood pressure

Maintain intake and output chart

Performing12 lead ECG.

Emergency client care: Assessing condition, vital signs monitoring, cardiac monitoring as possible, administering emergency medications, administration of oxygen, assisting and performing CPR,

Collecting personal. medical and family history of the client

IV cannulisations & blood sampling

Calculation and administration of medicines, injections

Cleaning & dressings of wounds. Stitch removal etc.

Assist doctors in various procedures

Teach & guide the juniors, nursing assistants & other auxiliary personnel.

Co- ordinate the team

Maintain good and healthy interpersonal relationship with all members of the health team.

Maintaining records and reports.

IV preparation, IV cannulation, administration of IV fluids, care of IV sites etc.

Assisting and performing dressing (e.g. bedsore and surgical wounds).

Care of the client with closed chest drainage tubes.

Maintaining asepsis throughout all the procedures

Care of narcotics and other costly medication

Proper biomedical waste management.

Proper disinfection of contaminated articles and utensils.

Assisting major and minor Surgeries.

Maintaining strile technique.

Setting of the operating trolley.

Count the instruments, needles, swabs, pack in the trolley and as operation proceeds with circulating nurse.

Assisting the surgeon and meeting their needs.

Carryout the final checks before the cavity is closed and make sure everything is correct.

Clean and tide up the instruments used for surgery.
