Professional Experience:
-Assists the Pharmacist inpatient and outpatient services rendered, reviews order or prescription and notifies pharmacist of any problems, if any. Pick or select drugs from carousel or stock, counts dosage units, labels and place the labeled medication for checking by the pharmacist.
-Assists Pharmacist with bulk preparation of medication, prepares and also assists in preparing non-patient specific medications. Restock and assist Pharmacist in IV room.
-Prepares deliveries of medication and supplies from the pharmacy to various locations and departments. Checks all the medications and packages for proper labeling after checked by Pharmacist and inform Pharmacist and other Pharm. Technician when leaving and returning to the pharmacy.
-Maintains inventory at Carousel, Pyxis and the main pharmacy store. Remove expired drugs every month, rotates stock, returning medications and supplies to carousel and shelves when necessary. Documents and sign inventory and tracking records monthly.
-Maintains clean iv room and other rooms to ISO Class 5, records temperature for medication Refrigerator and Freezer every day and maintains mechanical devices in clean-room and ensure they are working,
-Performs related duties in and out of pharmacy as required.
-Ability to maintain strict HIPAA patient confidential and discretion regarding PHI.

-Assist Licensed Pharmacist in the non- professional aspects of preparing and dispensing medication.
-Fills medication orders entered by the Pharmacist with Carousel, fills, packages, and stock unit dose cart from patient profile.
-Count and fill Omni cell and Pyxis machines in OR and nursing unit.
-Perform monthly inventory and tracking record by scanning items and labels.
-Maintains placement of sufficient daily inventory of supplies to all areas of pharmacy.
-Labels containers of drug according to department specification, either manually or mechanically.
