Currently employed by Concrete units as a Site Engineer relied upon to set out project works in accordance with drawings and specifications, monitor progress and quality assurance management of precast panels for concrete wind towers.
After completion of my BSc Honours in Civil Engineering at the University of Zimbabwe I was employed by VSL Construction Solutions. I am skilled in structural analysis, design of reinforced concrete particularly prestressed concrete. In addition to the above-mentioned skills I have extensive experience in quality assurance management and project management for various projects including multi-storey buildings and bridges. CLIENT: South African National Roads Agency
PROJECT NAME: Mt Edgecombe Interchange
Upgrade
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Currently considered to be the largest interchange project in South Africa. The upgrade involved
shifting an existing diamond interchange layout to a free flow, four level interchange configuration. The upgrade included nine new bridge structures,
of which the main feature is two free flow ramp
viaducts that are 443m and 947m long and 18m
and 26m high respectively. The viaduct span length varies with the longest spanning up to 65m. The
viaducts were constructed using incremental
launch method to accommodate traffic and
elevation constraints.
LOCATION: Umhlanga, Durban
POSITION HELD: Junior Project Engineer
REPOSPONSIBILITIES:
Carry out Inspections for installed tensioning ducts and rebar
Supervision of stuff during incremental launching, post tensioning and grouting operations
Calculating theoretical extensions of prestressing cables, calculating the percentage deviations of
the measured extensions on site from the
theoretical extensions and checking compliance
with COLTO standards.
Replacement of temporary bearings by permanent
bearings.

CLIENT: Nedport Developments
PROJECT NAME: Park Square
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Design-build project involving installation of
bonded and unbonded prestressing cables, post
tensioning and grouting. Park Square is a mixed-
use office and retail project comprising
approximately 36000m2 of lettable commercial
space and 4000m2 of lettable retail space. The
project also included two levels of basement
parking.

PROJECT NAME: N7 Malmesbury national road
upgrade
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The upgrade stretches from Abbotsdale
intersection to Voortrekker road, Malmesbury and
includes Darling road interchange. The scope of
work covered was installation of multi-strand post tensioning tendons, stressing and grouting on
bridge sections at Kaalbaskraal, Darling road, Diep river, Klein Dassenberg and Rondeberg.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Design-built project involving installation of
bonded pre-stressing cables, installation of rebar, post tensioning and grouting. Lakeside towers
occupies 18 500m2 consisting of two basements
for parking and five floors of office space.

PROJECT NAME: Roggeveld Windfarm
PROJECT DESCIPTION:
Design-build project consisting of installation of rebar and casting of 800 keystones for wind
towers on which turbines are supported at the
wind farm.
LOCATION: Roggeveld, Northern Cape

Setting out project works in accordance with
drawings and specifications.
Inspect project site to monitor progress and
ensure design specifications as well as health and safety standards are met.
Carrying out repairs on precast concrete panels.
