She is a Golden Key International Honour Society member (Top 10% of all the Universities) since 2012. She subsequently completed her B.Sc.Hons. Environmental Geology degree in 2013 with a special focus on soil science and remediation of mining impacted land at NWU. She completed her Masters Degree in Environmental Science (Geology) in 2015, also at NWU.
During her six years of study, she completed several additional courses to expand her general knowledge and understanding and obtained experience as a student assistant in several projects based on environmental studies, mining, geology and rehabilitation of mining impacted sites. She attended and completed the courses “Mining and the Environment” as well as “Uranium and the Environment” presented by Dr. Ronald Cohan from Colorado School of Mines, America. She is a member of LaRSSA (Land Rehabilitation Society of South Africa) and presented her honours project at the conference in 2014. Additionally, she has completed GIS subjects during her degree with distinction as well as the internal courses Advanced1 and Applied2 GIS at the North West University. North West University
