Material Handler / Offset Press Department
• Work as a member of a multi-unit, double-web, heat-set, offset printing press producing consumer publications and catalogs.
• Monitor the flow of materials, equipment set-ups, job progress, quality, and scheduling. Committed to safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Assist with the preparation of the press for operation by verifying proper documentation and web-threading procedures and inspecting, adjusting, or replacing slitter knives. Install plates and blankets, set-up ink fountains, ink roller train, and water system.
• Ensure proper roll-paper positioning and tension on the press by verifying and installing roll stock, splicing, and threading paper through the web. Feed paper while the press is running.
