Conducting Research on Evaluation of Smart Cities Technology with MIT professor to evaluate the development of current smart city technologies and assesses their validity with regard to the concept of Universal Village through systematic studies of several major intelligent systems. Explored image processing technologies based on drones. Used new algorithm to form a 2D trajectory points cloud of objects in each frame rather than tracking every object. Proposed innovative methods for change comparison between two image sequences. (2020-Present)

Conducted Human-AI Interaction Researches guided by Professor Howley at Williams College: Visualizing Predictive Models For Users in Dating App--built a machine learning model to predict whether a user will agree to match with another user in speed dating events; designed visualization of the model for different groups of people based on dating data of thousands of users. Design AI Front Ends--created mock-ups of the front-end to a loan application app; allowed users to see what’s happening in the technical back-end and knew 2 / 4

whether they could get loan. Machine Learning For Home Loans--classified data of over 3000 loan applicants; predicted whether banks would approve loan to applicant. Wrote over 1000 lines of code using Python. (2020)

Researched on the Marginal Propensity to Consumption in Japan guided by professor Kuttner at Williams College. Used regression model to analyze the correlation between both short-term and long-term consumption increase and the economic growth in Japan. (2020)

Developed a mobile phone app specifically adapted for transmitting Chinese characters to make it even easier for over 1000 students. (2019)

Participated in Research Science Institute (RSI) at MIT from June to August in 2018 (Only two students admitted from China). Conducted Research under the tutelage of Prof. Eric Grinberg, Chair of the Department of Mathematics, University of Massachusetts, Boston, on Admissible Complexes on the Radon Transform in Finite Field, a typical graduate-level research. Explored variety of Plane Radon transform; Developed the Bolker condition as a tool to verify the invertibility of Radon transform; Discussed the invertiblility of the transform in these finite geometries and used computer force and casework to calculate the number of collections of measurement objects (planes and lines); Calculated the number of Admissible Complexes in unit cube and hypercube. (2018)

Attended Ross Math Summer Camp at Ohio State University in 2018. Worked on intensive problems in the field of number theory and math proofs with professors and peers. (2018)

Conducted research under the direction of Prof. Susan Fox, Chair of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at Macalester College, on the Computer Vision Project using Python to create a content-sensitive private screen program to reveal persons in the background for the Pioneer Academics. Introduced methods to segment human-related content in images to eradicate privacy objects in online conferences; Applied cascades for different features related to human face; Maintained the balance of accuracy and robustness when detecting hair and upper body outline using algorithm successfully; Demonstrated in a hypothetical scenario how a program may separate the human parts in a webcam video feed (2017)

Engaged in a scientific research project sponsored by Tsinghua University to reconstruct the opera tower and bridge in Old Summer Palace (Yuanmingyuan Park); measured and created the 3D model and was invited to attend the international conference on ancient Chinese architecture at Tsinghua University. (2016)
