People have traditionally used signatures as a means of informing others that the signa- ture has read and understood a document. Digital signature in a document is bound to that document in such a way that altering the signed document or moving the signature to a different document invalidates the signature. M. Database management systems comprise various algorithms for efficiently retrieving and managing data.This project reports our results concerning the energy consumption of different implementations of select algorithms on different types of queries (opera- tions). We demonstrate that high performance algorithms often require more energy than slower ones.
