I am a recent graduate from the Information Studies department, with a specialization in data science from the University of Maryland, College Park. In my two and half years at the University of Maryland, I have completed a great deal of course work that has given me an authentic experience into the world of data science. This includes, but is not limited to, database design, data modeling, statistical analysis, and object-oriented programming. Throughout my rigorous and detailed-oriented course work I learned and applied skills such as data architecture, data wrangling, database management and data visualization.

Using this knowledge, I have completed various projects such as using a Spotify web API to create a program that processes user input and returns a list of songs that meets the user’s criteria. I created my own database composed of movie data from IMDB using SQL. Using a nationally representative IMDB database, I conducted several statistical analyses using R studio and Python.

In addition to my technical assets, those around me would characterize me as a passionate, reliable, problem-solver who leverages their communication skills to succeed in a team-oriented environment. Given the skills and experience outlined in the attached resume, I believe I will be a worthy asset to your team.
