ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES

I am a member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 940 Caro.

I am a member of the Tuscola County Conservation Club. With this organization, we work and maintain the grounds that include indoor/outdoor shooting ranges, skeet ranges, and club houses. Safety and fun are the goals of this group.

I participated in 2013 Cares Day with fellow bankers with Adopt-a-Highway. We cleaned the roadsides on both sides of M-24 for four (4) miles.

I participated in 2014 Walk for Warmth, with fellow bankers for Tuscola County in Caro, MI. We walked a designated route after we got pledges for the walk.

I participated in 2014 Cares Day with my fellow Chemical bankers. We cleaned up Tuscola County Fairgrounds, Atwood Community Park, and Chippewa Landing of litter and performed raking & sweeping of common areas.

I participated in the 2015 Tuscola County Walk for Warmth program. I asked for donations/pledges for the walk. I, with fellow bankers and other community members, walked the designated route.

I participated in the 2015 Cares Day with my fellow bankers. We helped cleaned up the yards of the Thumb Octagon Barn outside Gagetown, Michigan. We assisted with raking leaves, walnuts and apples. We assisted with putting precious mementos away for the winter inside the house. We assisted with picking and sorting apples for pies and deer feed. We assisted with painting and making plaques.

I participated in the 2016 Cares Day with my fellow bankers. We helped make jars of beans for bean soup with the local food pantry. We then delivered them around the community to random people to show them that we care and are committed to them. We also helped sort and stow a drop off of donations to the pantry.

I participated in the 2017 Winter Wishes Program. My fellow co-workers and I collected items of personal hygiene and money donations for the homeless in our county. Then, with the collected monies, two fellow bankers bought other items and then as a whole, we gave to the Tuscola County Homeless Coalition.

I participated in the 2017 Teach the Children program. My fellow bankers and I go to local schools and teach elementary students about money and how to save for what they want. It’s interactive; so, the students do participate with us. We show what money looks like; the different forms of money; and what it all can be used for.

I participated in the 2017 Cass City Freedom Festival. I picked up the company van at the local branch and got to the lineup for our position in the parade. I helped direct traffic out of the parade lineup area. Then, I drove the van in the parade as fellow teammates walked with a banner and wagons for candy toss. Then, I returned the van back to the branch for the next team member to pick up for their event.

I participated in the 2017 American Cancer Society Relay for Life-Tuscola County. I am a cancer survivor. I asked for donations. I donated items for the silent auction. I participated in the annual event of walking laps around the track.

I participated in the 2018 Tuscola County Walk for Warmth project. I asked & collected donations for the project, to help those that are having trouble paying winter heating costs. I and fellow coworkers joined in the morning gathering for updates and information. Then, we all walked a pre-mapped route. All of our proceeds stay within our county.

I participated in the 2018 Teach the Children program. My fellow bankers and I go to local schools and interact with the students on what money is and what all can be done with it. We have skits and reading materials and question/answer period.

I participated in the 2018 American Cancer Society Relay for Life-Tuscola County Chapter. I collected donations, monetary donations, and participated in the annual event walking laps around the route.

I participated in the 2018 Cares Day with my fellow bankers. We helped the Caro Garden Club cleaned up the local gardens in our community for the winter season. We pulled weeds, transplanted plants & trees, placed mulch where needed, and picked up trash.

I participated in 2019 Soup Bowl Challenge. I was asked to Chair this program. I asked & collected non-perishable items and monetary funds to the Eastern Food Bank of Michigan. For the duration of the challenge, my bank branch was the #1 branch three weeks running out of the entire corporation. At the end of the challenge, the collection was rounded up and boxed up to be given to the local churches pantries, via the Eastern Food Bank of Michigan.

I participated in the 2019 Relay for Life. I collected funds for my Team. I donated time to the event. I brought awareness to others. All funds collected stay within our county.

I participated in the 2019 Teach the Children to Save program. My fellow bankers & I formed 2-man groups and went to the local schools and interacted with the students on what money is and what all can be done with it. We read to the students and had them ask questions. Students had taken home materials also.

I participated in the 2019 Cares Day with my fellow bankers. We assisted the Caro Garden Club with all 3 local gardens, preparing them for the winter season. We pulled weeds & transplanted plants & bulbs. We edged gardens and picked up trash.

I participated in the 2020 Soup Bowl Challenge. I was Team Captain again this year. I collected donations for our local food pantry. As a team, we asked customers and fellows team mates for non-perishable items and/or monetary funds. Those funds were used to purchase more items. We won again this year as top banking center. I set up the table & arranged items. I promoted the event via customer interaction.

I participated in the 2020 Relay for Life for Tuscola County. I asked and collected donations. I recorded those donations online for my team. All funds are collected and remain in our county.
