Dualling of Sandown Road and M12 (Malibongwe Boulevard)
The Preliminary and detailed design of the Sandown Road and M12 includes the upgrade of the existing single carriageway into a dual carriageway, and the widening of existing box culverts. . As a member of the design team, I was responsible for the preliminary and detailed design road surface drainage, subsoil drainage system, hydrological assessment of the delineated drainage catchment, traffic accommodation, and completing a bill of quantities.

Sable Road Interchange Upgrade: N1/N7 Central interchange Planning (N1 Collector Distributor)
The conceptual and preliminary design of the N1 collector distributor road adjacent the N1 from the N1/N7 interchange to Sable Road includes the introduction of a new interchange (i.e. Central Interchange) and the realignment of Sable Road. As a member of the design team, I was responsible for estimating the project cost for the road earthworks, services clashes and relocations, proposed pavement structure, and mass hauled to nearby landfill site
Upgrade of the National Route 3 Section 2 from Hammersdale km 8.1 to Cato Ridge km 19.4.
The Preliminary and detailed design of the national route N3 includes the rehabilitation of the existing concrete pavement, correction of sub-standard geometry, the addition of the 4th and 5th lanes and climbing lanes, replacement of existing bridges and culvert extensions. As a member of the design team, I was responsible for the preliminary and detailed design road surface drainage, hydrological analysis of the delineated drainage catchment, assessing the hydraulic capacity of the existing box culverts and river bridges, traffic accommodation, complete bill of quantities, and the design road signs and markings.

Upgrading of National Route 1 Section 18
from Heuningspruit km 0.00 to Koppies km 29
The Preliminary and detailed design of the National route N1 includes the upgrade of the existing 3-lane single carriageway to a 4-lane dual carriageway with provision for a 6-lane dual carriageway in the future, and the widening of Mahem River bridge and existing box culverts. As a member of the design team, I was responsible for the preliminary and detailed geometric design, interchange ramp re-alignment, hydrological analysis of the delineated drainage catchment, road surface drainage, checking the hydraulic capacity of the existing box culverts and river bridges, traffic accommodation, detailed design report, road signs and marking layout design, and estimating the cost of the project design alternatives.

Upgrade of Provincial Route 34 Section 6 between Kroonstad km 0.0 and Welkom km 48.0
The Preliminary and detailed design of the provincial route R34 includes correction of the vertical alignment, widening of shoulders and provision of turning lanes at intersections, assessment of the capacity of drainage structures, and widening drainage structures, the installation of a rope barrier, and the consolidation of the accesses of this road. As a member of the design team, I was responsible for the preliminary and detailed design hydrological analysis of the delineated drainage catchment, road surface drainage, checking the hydraulic capacity of the existing box culverts and river bridges, traffic accommodation, road signs and marking layout design, and estimating the cost of the project design alternatives.

Upgrade of Section 10 of the national route N11 from km 3.4 Middelburg to Loskop Dam km53.4.
The Preliminary and detailed design of the national route N11 includes the rehabilitation of Section 10 of the N11 national route trunk road, widening of existing road, the addition of overtaking lanes, and upgrading box culverts and existing bridges. As a member of the design team, I was responsible for the detailed design intersection setting-out, the road signs and markings layout, and draughting of detailed design drawings.

-Involves the widening of the carriageway to the LHS in most cases to avoid cutting into existing rock formations / Outcrops.

-The New alignment of the Fish Hoek Northern Bypass route based of previous design proposals.

-Entails the alignment of a new route traversing on a Via-Duct bridge structure that leads into a new Tunnel cutting through Trappies Kop before it ties-into Boyes Drive.

Rehabilitation of the MR287 municipal route from Robertson (kogmanskloof rivier) to Bonnievale (Swellendam road)
The Preliminary and detailed design of the MR287 route includes the rehabilitation of the existing road pavement, widening of the Kogmanskloof river bridge, extending box culverts and rehabilitating Transnet railway crossing. As a member of the design team, I was responsible for the preliminary and detailed design road surface drainage, stormwater drainage network for the peri-urban and urban section of road, hydrological analysis of the delineated drainage catchment, complete bill of quantities, and assessing the hydraulic capacity of the existing box culverts and river bridges.

The Preliminary and detailed design of the National route N2 includes the addition of two concrete lanes on each carriageway of the existing dual carriageway. The upgrades include the construction of cut and fill retaining walls, widening of Tongaat River Bridge and lengthening of 9 culverts. As a member of the design team, I was responsible for the preliminary geometric design, hydrological analysis of delineated drainage catchment, road surface drainage, assessing the hydraulic capacity of existing drainage structures, detailed design report, and placement of retaining walls, complete bill of quantities and project costing of design alternatives.
