Network Administrator / Engineer
Provided network support for SANS cybersecurity training events across the country. Set up SANS network equipment consisting of Cisco switches and Dell Servers to work with the networks of the host venues. Provided network security and data integrity throughout the duration of the training event.
●Preconfigured SANS equipment for training venue based on a rubric that factored number of classes and number of students enrolled. Applied calculations to shape bandwidth using Sinefa, ensuring training class received major portion of bandwidth and the rest shared between event administrators and support staff.
●Worked with the onsite network support to design an optimal network set up to accommodate the classes and not disrupt their daily business.
●Established conference calls with event venue’s onsite contact, their network administrator, SANS event planner and myself to ensure the venue provided proper network connectivity for conducting the SANS Cyber training event.
