JOB PROFILE:

• Perform Microbiological analysis of various food samples based on FDA –

BAM and BIS standards,

• Identification test of environmental swabbing.

• Performs all assigned microbiological testing, reporting and other possible

duties related to the function of the microbiology laboratory or Quality

Assurance Department

• Collect and log in all samples from production facilities upon arrival at

Microbiology lab.

PROJECT DETAILS:

Project title: Studies on Azotobacter sp. mediated composting of raw coir

pith as a substitute for urea in the process. It was done under the guidance of

Dr. Anita Das Ravindranath, Senior Scientific Officer, Central Coir

Research Institute, Kalavoor, Alappuzha.

Description: This study was taken up with targeted to replace the inorganic

urea with the Nitrogen fixing bacteria Azotobacter. A consortium using this

micro flora with appropriate fungal species for composting helps to make

coir pith a perfect soil conditioner and bioorganic manure
