Project Profile
Short Circuit Analysis using Sequence Frame and Phase Frame and Its Importance in JAN 2020 – MAY 2020 Power System – A Simulation Study
COURSE WORK- BACHELOR THESIS Presidency University, Bangalore
• The primary intent of the thesis, to develop MATLAB code for Short circuit analysis using Phase frame approach for Transmission System which mitigates the erroneous results of Sequence frame (conventional method).
• With the reference from Research papers, the MATLAB and SciLAB code for sequence frame based short circuit analysis were developed using the MATLAB 2019a and SciLAB 6.1.0 Software.
• The results obtained from MATLAB were validated using Mi-power 10.0 (developed by PRDC) Simulation Software, from which it has been concluded that the developed code can be used as an alternative for the existing software. A Load Flow Study on Existing Power Distribution System – Rajankunte 16 Feeder Substation OCT 2019 – NOV 2019 COURSE WORK- BACHELOR MINI-PROJECT Presidency University, Bangalore
• The objective of work is to follow the existing feeder lines using Single Line diagram of substation and study physical connections types, transformer specification details. Simulate Load Flow analysis to compute various parameters such as system power demands, total system power loss etc.,
• The Load Flow Analysis was performed on Mi-power 10.0 software.
• Additionally, the results were discussed with Substation Engineers to understand various interpretations of distribution system. Clean Energy Generation using hydro turbines JAN 2019 – FEB 2019 COURSE WORK- BACHELOR MINI-PROJECT Presidency University, Bangalore
• A model project developed to showcase an idea to generate DC energy at high rise apartments using hydro turbines at pumping and tap drainage systems. The energy is stored in batteries and used for lighting purposes at parking compartments to save energy to participate in renewable energy generation.
• To use the stored energy for various purposes,150W DC-DC boost power converter 12-35V is used which is a step-up adjustable power supply at output ends.
• The hydro turbines used in the model provided a required output which were used to energize the LED lamps.
• The project was awarded with 1st position in PARADIGM [Dynamic Model Presentation] during EQUI2P 2019. Workshops
