MIS Specialist – An overall work for an in-house IT, it includes Network, Hardware, and Software. But the Main role for this position is to maintain the System they called Empire, This is an application build using Oracle Forms and Reports.

At first came to this company, they are using Oracle Database 9i and request me to perform Database migration from Oracle 9i to Oracle 11gR2.

First Project – Database Migration

Using my previous work experience as a DBA, I ensure that the system will be UP by morning and the database migration will complete by the next 8 hrs.

• By working on weekends to perform database upgrade, I issue some backup and recovery procedure in-case we encounter an error during upgrade. This is very important due because the environment I’m dealing with is production.
