DUTIES

Carrying out a social assessment on patient which includes attending to patient during first visit to the hospital, thereby collecting patient data and all relevant information that has to do with patient, such as personal information about patient, relative and family, history of illness.

Maintaining a positive and professional attitude towards patients and relatives at all times.

Responding to patient social needs and complains at all times.

Attending ward rounds of patient under my unit and to give report of patient progress.

Carrying out social investigations when needed.

Getting through to patients relatives if needs arises through phone calls of messages.
