Achievements
oWorked at the Writing & Speech Centre/Languages’ Centre, Daystar University Athi River Campus where I corrected misspellings on project papers/term papers and assisted other students from non-English speaking countries to gradually learn Basic English for daily interactions and classroom communication and tests.
oFounded and developed Arts for Arts’ sake Book Club whereby I promoted the idea of a reading society at Daystar University Athi River Main Campus.
oAssistant chairlady of Women’s group (Daystar Christian Women Fellowship) in campus that focused on women’s issues and so honed my presentation and communication skills.
oI’m actively blogging. I have interacted and interviewed influential people in the Kenya Film Industry on my blog; winniees.blogspot.com
oIn 2016, some of my poems were showcased at The Writing Shop, Inc. Nairobi Kenya which branded me more as a writer.
oParticipated in Poetry, Drama, Debate club and school choir in Primary and High Schools so I believe my presentation, language and communication skills were honed pretty early in life.

oPolished my Editing skills as an editor at KMET’s Communications Department since the fieldwork stories/social media updates/blogged stories were supposed to not have any spelling error.
oDeveloped my writing freelancing skills through blogging and weekly writing assignments. In addition, I’ve occasionally freelanced for Potentash magazine/blog.
oMy Social Work knowledge and skills were also put to practice through interaction with communities and addressing their health grievances by working hand-in-hand with the CHVs who were watchdogs for KMET medical and sociological researches and projects.
oI’ve enhanced my Adobe Photoshop editing skills by being open-minded to learn more on and about it and practising on the photographs taken by me and the rest of KMET’s Communications team.
oHaving Majored in B.A in English Literature, this Adobe Photoshop skills comes in handy when designing name tags plus Advertising is one of the industries that a graduate with a degree in B.A. in English can indulge in.
oThe internship at KMET has exposed me to the world of photography as well. I’ve mastered the photography skills plus how to manipulate, crop and resize photos taken for a presentation or report or a social media update.
oMy knowledge of Adobe Illustrator enables me to practically be useful when it comes to making advertisements, books, magazines, packaging, greetings cards and newspapers.
oMy keenness in proper spellings and my expertise in manipulation of words makes me suitable for advertisements and editing roles as well.
oMy internship at KMET has also broadened my knowledge in the area of human rights advocacy which has immensely helped me whenever I write stories pertaining to human rights issues.
