PROJECTS
Foldable Desk, Design II Spring 2020
• Designed and built a foldable desk that doubles surface area compared to existing university auditorium style desks
• Reduced cost of implementation by developing attachments that can be used on existing seating (team of 5)
• Independently assembled the successful final model in a university residence during social distancing
• Awarded best overall project, as voted by classmates and spectators at a virtual design expo Linkage System, Design I Fall 2019
• Devised balsa wood linkage system to lift a 15lb spring resisted platform cyclically, using a small rotary motor
• Created the linkages by exclusively using laser cutting Swinging Gripper, Design I Fall 2019
• Designed and fabricated robotic gripper that used a rotary motor to grip a small aluminum snowman
• Implemented threaded clamp design to reduce movement to less than 0.1 inches Turbine Blade, Renewable Energy Engineering Spring 2019
• Led team of 3 to design horizontal axis wind turbine blade that won an in-class competition
• Constructed and assessed 3D representation of the blade in XFLR and QBlade Concentrated Solar Power Plant, Renewable Energy Engineering Spring 2019
• Built quantitative model of a concentrated solar power plant using MATLAB
• Analyzed efficiency to show that the accuracy of model was within 10% of real-world plants WORK EXPERIENCE
Action Engineering LLC, Model Based Design Engineering Intern July – August 2020
• Created one-page quick reference guide for ASME Y14.41
• Devised model-based design assessments to evaluate knowledge retention among industry professionals
• Examined and assessed model-based enterprise best practices LEADERSHIP & ACTIVITIES
