THESIS AND PUBLICATIONS

Title: Design of Single Input Fuzzy Logic Controller for TITO Systems.

Description: Single Input Fuzzy Logic Controller (SIFLC) is a simplification of Fuzzy Logic Controller which is being applied to the multi-variable processes. Most of the industrial processes are multi-variable in nature. The most important feature with a multi-variable system is possible cross-couplings or interactions between the input (manipulated) and output (controlled) variables which is necessary to eliminate or suppress in order to get stable performance. Niedelinski Index (NI) and Relative Gain Analysis (RGA) are used to measure the extent of interaction and based on that, a decoupler is designed that eliminates the interaction between manipulated and controlled variables. At last, different controllers are designed and applied to the TITO (Two Input Two Output) processes and their results are compared with SIFLC which is found to give better results in all aspects.
