Aim- The Fiber Optic Voice Modem(FOVM) provides electrical to optical conversion of electronic communication and data signals for transmission using tactical fiber optic cable assemblies. The FOVM simultaneously receives incoming optical signals and converts them back to the original electronic signal allowing for full duplex transmission. Advantage – It helps to avoid routers for every 2 to 3 kilometers, so that there is no much data loss. It helps in transmitting data securely in restricted areas like military, naval systems .
