Pediatric and adult orthopedic deformity and reconstructive surgery

PA-C

First assist and surgical closure of reconstructive surgery and aesthetic surgery including closure of local advancement flaps, Z-plasty, ulnarizations, pollicizations.

First assist in an array of highly complex orthopedic and soft tissue deformity corrections including but not limited to: cross union repair, pelvic osteotomies such as Ganz, periacetabular osteotomy, and triple periacetabular osteotomy, SUPERhip, proximal femur valgus osteotomies, SUPERknee (ligamentous reconstruction with autograft), knee reconstruction using ISJ elbow hinge constructs, osteoplasty and lengthening of femur and tibia with IM nails, external fixation, extramedullary nail, extramedullary plate, ankle fusions, knee fusions, de-rotational osteotomies of humeri and femurs, osteotomies of coalitions and synostosis including femoral-tibial and humeral-radial, midfoot osteotomies, Evan’s osteotomies, Paley modified Brown rotationplasties, distraction of knee, ankle and apex of deformity using computer dependent external fixation.

Clinical and surgical management of patients with complex deformities including fibular hemimelia, tibial hemimelia, coxa vara, coxa valga, femoral anteversion, femoral retroversion, miserable malalignment, congenital femoral deficiency, congenital pseudoarthrosis of the tibia, multiple hereditary exostosis, neonatal sepsis sequelae, multiple epiphyseal dysplasia, post-traumatic deformities of femur, tibia and humerus including gunshot wounds and MVA, poliomyelitis, TAR syndrome, phocomelia, etc.

Pre-op, post-op, clinical and surgical experience with the aesthetic patient population including elective stature lengthening of tibias, femurs and humeri

Creation and management of data bases including the database used for introducing a new medical device.

oThis included but was not limited to radiographic findings, clinical follow-ups, and analysis of outcomes.

Neurosurgery PA-C Dr. Kouri 9/2019 – 3/2020

Clinical management including review of radiographic, clinical and laboratory data. Obtaining comprehensive histories and physical exams, pharmacologic, medical and surgical management in environments including the emergency room, intensive care unit, neuro-intensive care unit, OR, PACU, stepdown, medical floors, and outpatient clinic.
