PROJECTS and PUBLICATIONS
Image Caption Generation Dec ‘20
• Features extracted from the MSCOCO dataset, where the images and the texts were trained using Convolution Neural Networks and Recurrent Neural Networks, respectively, Xception model was also used to train the dataset to improve the accuracy.
Geospatial Data Analysis Dec ‘20
• Developed a data processing schema on top of the Apache Spark-Hadoop cluster which was set up using the AWS EC2 instances to identify the top 50 Taxi routes (Hotspot Analysis) in New York using Scala.
• Implemented a model to find the business activities based on the locations and cities using spatial and textual searching on MongoDB using the PyMongo interface.
Meal Detection Apr ’20
• Extracted features from the daily readings of a Continuous Glucose Monitoring system. Performed dimensionality reduction using Principal Component Analysis to predict the meal intake.
• Implemented in Python, with KMeans to cluster the data based on carbohydrate intake. Smart Irrigation System May ‘19
• Developed an automated plant watering system with a moisture sensor to detect moisture in soil and transmit the results to a mobile device supported by a GPS module, tested and observed 40% volume of water saved, compared to the manual method.
• Project published in the Scopus Journal: (IEEE) (Link) High Precision Indoor VLC Positioning Techniques Apr ‘19
• Simulated in MATLAB and established indoor positioning for communication using visible light, achieved 36% more accuracy than the trilateration method by implementing weighted k-Nearest Neighbor (k-NN).
• Project published in the Scopus Journal: (IJITEE) (Link) EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Founder, Alumni Association Student Body, VIT Mar ‘19
• Managed a team of 12, as a liaison between students and faculty responsibilities included to look after groundwork, marketing, logistics and to update student data on the website with the technical team. General Secretary, Rotaract Club, VIT Aug ’18
• Directed the club with a strength of 250 students as the General Secretary, to showcase and portray our skills by volunteering our time to teach in public schools and to raise funds for the needful NGOs.
