EDUCATION

BS Aerospace Engineering, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, FL May 2021

Concentration: Propulsion

Minors: Applied Mathematics and Systems Engineering

PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Propulsion System Design for a Fighter Plane; 4-person team Used AEDsys software to design an initial generic engine based on a request for proposal that included constraint and mission requirements. 20 engines with varied design parameters were created in AEDsys; each member was responsible for 5 engine designs. Constant and varied installation losses, and fuel usage were noted in addition to sizing the engine. These parameters were then used to make a final engine selection.

Drone Evaluation and Recommendation Using Specialty Engineering; 7-person team Assessed Aibotix Aibot X6 UAV and the Gaia 160 Elite Hybrid UAS with emphasis on mission variety, flight duration and range, and systems specialty engineering components. Analyzed the drones based on the durability, and reliability. Collaborated with group members to deliver a comprehensive analysis and provide a final product recommendation.

Flight Simulator Data Analysis for Cessna 172; 4-person team Flew a Cessna 172 using virtual reality, a cockpit, stick, and 2 screens for 4 flight modes. Data from the simulator was extracted to plot the entire flight in Excel. The data was then input into MATLAB to plot the phugoid, short period, rolling mode, and Dutch Roll. The MATLAB plots were used to calculate the natural frequency and damping ratio of each mode. Team members collaborated to sort data and compare results.

Supersonic Analysis for Northrop F-5A Freedom Fighter; 4-person team Used Digital Datcom to verify hand calculations for static, longitudinal, directional, and lateral stability of the aircraft. Assigned different Mach numbers to each member; results were compared to ensure the accuracy of answers.

CATIA V5 Modeling; 4-person team

Designed and assembled parts for an RC car using CATIA. Assembled team members parts to focus on individual work and integration. Took initiative to add dimensions and tolerances to draft sheets with the support of a team member.
