EXPERIENCE
MARCH 2019 – PRESENT
SERVICE LEVEL MANAGER, CONTINUANT
In my current role as a Service Level Manager at continuant, I manage the telephony service needs of large and small businesses. It is my responsibility to keep open lines of communication between myself and management at customer businesses, to be approachable, knowledgeable, and helpful when a customer is in a bind, and to ascertain customer productivity does not suffer as result of their internal telephony systems’ functionality. In this position, I was promoted quickly from Customer Service Representative to Named Account Manager, then to Service Level Manager. I have been commended repeatedly for excellent customer service. In November of 2019, my peers voted to present me with an award for my commitment to providing an outstanding customer experience. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, I have been working from home while maintaining the parameters of my position and functioning as if nothing had changed.
AUGUST 2017 – DECEMBER 2017
NONFICTION READER, ZONE 3 LITERARY MAGAZINE
I was chosen by the Austin Peay State University English Department to hold an internship position. As Nonfiction Reader, I reviewed all nonfiction submissions to the Zone 3 Literary Magazine to assess their fitness for publication before passing my selections on to the nonfiction editor. In this role, I employed my knowledge of creative nonfiction conventions, grammar and writing skills to make appropriate publication recommendations for the editor.
MAY 2007 – JULY 2010
HEALTH AND LIFE INSURANCE AGENT, THE HATCHER AGENCY
In this role, I was responsible for the health and life insurance benefit plans for approximately 200 small businesses. I was responsible for expedient resolution of customer service issues, prospective sales, and annual health and life benefits plan renewals, which included reassessing the requirements of clients and their workforces.
EDUCATION
DECEMBER 2018

Graduated with a 3.94 GPA, and was awarded the David Till award for Creative Writing in 2018.

ACTIVITIES
In my current position, I earned in three months a promotion that traditionally requires about a year of employment with the company. I have received accolades from several customers and my management for my excellence with customer service. Personally, I have managed my household finances for the past seven years and completed my degree while my husband was deployed with two children under five years of age. During my entire time at Austin Peay State University, I made excellent grades and was frequently commended on my leadership in group projects and writing workshops. Before being relocated to Washington state by the US Army, I was awarded fully-funded admission to the MA graduate program in English Literature at Austin Peay State University, along with a graduate teaching assistantship. While I will not be participating in those two honored activities, that they were offered to me highlights my born leadership and the worthy confidence with which I operate.
