Projects/ Internships:

Distance Measuring Device with help of Ultrasonic Sensors Jan 2017- march 2017

• The project aimed at measuring the distance covered by the vehicle using ultrasonic sensors and was measured in meters.

• The codes were given to the sensor using the Arduino software.

• At first we failed to get the appropriate reading of the distance. Then we changed the codes and cycles per minute and then attained the correct reading.

• Through this project I learnt to use ultrasonic sensors along with its programming and also that It is future of automobile industry as it will help at avoiding accidents and detect the obstructions coming on its way.

Study of 3-D printing technology 27th Jul 2018- 18th Aug 2018

• The project aimed at studying 3D Printing Technology.

• We printed 3D objects using the 3D printer.

• We used Solid Works for modelling the object to be printed. It later had to be converted to the G Code format for the further process of printing.

• Initially I was unaware of how to convert a CAD file into the G Code format however, I self-learnt this from Youtube Tutorials and applied it to my project and attained the expected output.

• I learnt 3D printing and its advantages through this project. Automatic Bike Stand Retrieval System 17th Jan 2019- 23rd Feb 2019

• The scope of this project is to design a system which can retrieve the bike side stand automatically.

• The purpose of this project is to safeguard the bike rider from accident caused due to carelessness of rider.

• This system can retrieve the stand automatically when ignition is started. Internship at Sound Casting Pvt. Ltd. 10th Jun 2019- 22nd Jun 2019

• Machine Shop and Casting Line Intern

• Regularly checked the metal composition present in furnace and the material that was required to be added to attain a perfect mixture for casting.

• Tested the metal sample by directly taking it out from the furnace. The spectrometer machine was used to test the sample.

• Observed all the processes carefully as it was highly risky to get involved in those processes.

• At first it was challenging to work there because the industry was new and it was very different from what I had learnt as theory in college. Several technical jargons were used which were difficult for me to understand initially, however after 11 days I was able to grasp a good amount of whatever was being said and done.

• I learned the overall casting process and the machine process here. Reduction in energy consumption of Induction Furnace for melting CI to improve productivity 22nd Aug 2019- 10th Feb 2020

• In this project work study of various research paper is done to reduce the energy consumption of induction furnace in foundry.

• For this project we selected ‘Siddha Foundries’.

• Various operating practices are applied to achieve the aim of this project.

• We made some changes in their plant layout for better productivity.

• We calculated heat loss and made a furnace cover to prevent it. Achievements:
