US Peace Corps, Ghana February 2020 – Present
Executive Assistant to Country Director
•Drafting official letters and memos for the Country Director
•Organizing and managing various files (general correspondence, memos, newsletters and handbooks), regulating access these files and acting as Post’s Records Liaison.
•Liaising with United States Embassy Protocol Assistant to organize Peace Corps events
•Developing and maintaining a database of contact information for government officials and collaborating organisations where appropriate to be used for mail merge and special event invitations.
•Assisting the Director of Management and Operations in the recruitment of new staff.
Highlights of my experience at US Peace Corps include:
•Coordinating the evacuation of 130 Peace Corps volunteers from Ghana during the height of the COVID- 19 pandemic.
•I led the team to pack label and ship the luggage of evacuated volunteers who were unable to leave with their belongings.
