Purchasing Manager – August 2018 to March 2020
Planned and lead in all facets of purchasing material for up to 13 rigs and for ordering all capital equipment.
Implemented SPA pricing across the company for 10% - 20% savings for rig supplies.
Negotiated bulk pricing for Capital Equipment parts that saved the company 10% - 15% savings.
Implemented procedures for suppliers to increase on-time deliveries to our warehouse by 70%.

Trinidad Drilling / Ensign Drilling
Lead and implemented all facets of purchasing material for multiple projects under construction for Trinidad.
Set up cost saving measures for a three quote bid process that saved the company between $25,000.00 and $50,000.00 each month.
Implemented an on-time delivery procedure with suppliers to receive a weekly update on all open orders for the projects group. The projects became more on-time each month with this procedure to get our rigs out on time. On-time deliveries before this procedure were very low.
Negotiate better pricing for multi-projects that helped company reduce 5% - 40% cost reductions.
Standardized with repair companies for the best hourly rates and overtime rates to utilize 20% - 25% savings. Stopped using companies that charged more for the same services.
Purchasing Manager September 2003 to September 2016
Independence Contract Drilling / IDM Equipment / Global Energy Services
Lead all facets of purchasing materials for the construction and maintenance of land rigs. Ran day-to-day operations of purchasing and worked diligently to maintain buying power.
Maintained spreadsheets on the MS NAV system for budgets and project costs to implement 10% - 15% cost savings from the data analysis.
Implemented purchasing policies, procedures, guidelines and established buying limits. Followed API guidelines for purchasing material. SPA pricing saved company 15% - 20%.
During 2015, ICD ordered materials for a six rig package. Material costs were $10 to $15 million for each rig. Approximately two months later, the market took a downward turn and I had to move the dates of materials out a couple of years. Negotiated with suppliers and move 70% of our purchases to 2017. Also was able to cancel 20% of these orders. This was a monumental cost savings & cash flow positive for ICD.

Started with Cates Control Solutions as a System Administrator / Buyer. Within one year was promoted to Procurement Manager.
Negotiated with distributors for bulk pricing and was able to save company anywhere between 5% and 25% savings.
Led purchasing group to maintain budgets and goals to be able to complete an 80% ratio while staying in budget.
Responsible for all purchases for Cates, which ranged in between $3 to $5 million.
