Lead IT Security Analyst and Alternate Information System Security Officer (ISSO). As the Lead IT Security Analyst, the goal is to establish policies, processes, and procedures to ensure that the IT Consolidated Bureaus’ service environments are in compliance with Department of State desktop security guidelines and to conduct regular monitoring to identify risks and effectiveness of security measures.

Served as Security Lead for IRM/OPS/CCS/OSS/SM

Lead a team of IT analysts to ensure the mission and goals of SM are met including:

o Established enterprise policy, processes, and procedures are in compliance with DoS desktop security guidelines;

o Performed desktop incident handling including incident response, CIRT’s litigation, and remediation requests;

o Administered access control/user accounts to include file permissions;

o Executed desktop security audits to include random security scans;

o Managed software download request authorizations;

o Monitored data transfer requests including authorizing transfers to and from CD’s, DVD and other removable data;

o Provided training and educates user to perform security briefings and DoS security best practices.

Provided weekly / monthly reports of completed deliverables to GTM and Senior Management;

Working with the IT Service Center (ITSC) and the Desktop Support Services (DSS), for action on OpenNet and ClassNet desktops and user accounts;

Providing oversight to team members regarding compliance with security operations and deliverables;

Establishing enterprise policy, processes, and procedures that are in compliance with DoS desktop security guidelines;

Responding to security issues that impact desktop incident handling; Computer Incident Response Team’s (CIRT); and remediation requests;

Administering access control/user accounts to include file permissions;

Expert on network auditing tools such as Change Auditor and Varonis
