Title : HIERARCHICAL DEFORMABLE SEGMENTATION OF LUNG FIELD IN CHEST RADIOGRAPH

Description : The project work describes the detection of shape variations and boundary ambiguity of the lungs. Chest Radiograph is important for lung disease treatment. In the chest Radiograph high shape variation, boundary ambiguity, lung field segmentation are toughest task. To overcome this problem a joint shape and appearance sparse learning method for robust and accurate lung field segmentation was introduced. The goal of this project is to find a robust shape initialization that is close to the lung boundary under segmentation, sparse shape composition model which is based on lung shape segments to overcome high shape variations and local appearance model which mainly concentrates with boundary ambiguity. These model capture the appearance, characteristics in local lung boundary.
